Tejipaz Experience - Coffee as a tool for peace
In this experience we seek to show how coffee has become a tool of peace in our territory. Granada, Antioquia is a municipality located in a strategic corridor in Colombia and in the region, due to its location in the years 80 until 2007 was one of the epicenters of the Colombian armed conflict by guerrilla groups such as the FARC, the ELN, the EPL, paramilitary groups and the security forces.
Granada was one of the municipalities in the region with the highest rate of forced displacement due to widespread violence in the country. Our experience begins in the "Salon de nunca jamas" (the hall of never again) The Hall of never again is a place of memory that was created in the midst of conflict that is a space dedicated to memories.
Through coffee I will tell you the story from difficulty to opportunity, you will learn hands-on the Café Tejipaz process, an association and coffee distributor of which I am founder.
After visiting the town square we will drive through the countryside and visit my farm, an agroecological coffee farm where we will learn how to be a coffee grower and have a craft coffee.
And back in the village we will learn about the hackneyed and toaster all this in our TejiPaz memory coffee shop. To finish with a tasting of the products that are transformed in the municipality.
